We are a secondary school, one of the oldest in the area. Our traditions dated back to the 50's of the 20th century. Our students are between 16 and 19 years old. The school is well equipped. Apart from science and biology labs, a language lab, there are four computer labs, a library and computer centre, a gym and a body-building room. The students and the teachers have got unlimited access to the internet and they can also get the European Certificate of Computer Skills ECDL. We also have a dormitory for students who live far from the school. In the new educational system, which have been recently introduced, students start their education at the age of 16. After 3 years they take final exams (the equivalent of A-level) in Polish, Maths, one of the foreign languages and an additional subject, chosen by the student. Each form of studies in our high school follows one of 4 curricular paths, with the emphasis put on different groups of subjects. There are humanistic classes, maths classes and biology classes. There is also IT Technical Collage, which is a vocational school and education in the type of school lasts 4 years. Apart from typical subjects, students attend many classes connected with IT and gain skills in following areas: - computer networks, - programming, - multimedia and computer graphics, - computer appliences, - managing data base systems.
