Rounds of Questionnaire
During the past months and intensively this past week, I have been conducting interviews with local companies for our project.
I have started doing my first round with the obvious and known companies a while back such as LeRoy Merlin, Carrefour, Brico Depot and CESR 66.
I followed up with them, as they suggested I do cause no one was available, by telephone, however I never go anyone to answer the questionnaire, as their only interest is, of course, to get rid of me.
In the meantime, I have successfully interviewed Altitude Formation (security training for heights), Chausson (construction material), a wine-making company, Colas (road construction) and Botanique (gardening).
For the third round of conducting interviews, I decided to not continue via phone but to personally drive around and sell the project and questionnaire.
Among my successful interviews were: NordAuto (automobile accessories), Montull & Cie and Fraikin (industrial vehicles renting) and Companile (hotel business).
During my trip, I tried again asking for an interview at CESR 66. CESR 66 is the leading training company in this region for industrial and commercial vehicles but it is not possible to get someone (friendly) to answer the questionnaire that lasts 10 minutes. It was the first company I tried for this survey, I followed up and called several times only to be told to call back the next day. And yesterday, I had to go through 3 people to be blown off again. The time I discussed and waited and they told me that they don't have time, we could have done the questionnaire. Anyhow, it is not possible to get any information out of them, or anyone willing to spend 10 minutes on this.
Other companies such as Leroy Merlin and Brico Depot are also uncooperative, even though I managed to get to the right person. Many of the nationally organised companies have a centralised training plan and it seems that managers of one shop are afraid they say something they cannot.
I have still one interview left, but several more options to explore: a bio supermarket, another hotel, a hospital, the small airport nearby.

well done
Hi Isa!Great you've managed to do so much. Fortunatelly, not everybody are unfriendly! I think you've done enough to contact the uncooparative CESR 66 company, don't bother, if they don't want to give you 10 min attention, just leave it. You have already done great research!
Have a nice time Aga ps. We have a group of Polish migrants in UK (my brother's friends) and we'd like to question them too.

We are interviewing small and micro companies (employing up to 10 people) and we are facing the same problems. I've given up contacting "the right person". Talking to, so called, ordinary people, gives a lot of information on how it all works. Of course, they are usually friends or acquaintances and they want to stay anonimous.
